Pull-O-Rama
Welcome to another brand spankin’ new addition to the Impulse Creations forum. Yeah, that’s right, no showcase this week. I thought I’d shake up the new year by proudly presenting Comic Book Pull-O-Rama, where I pull (get it?) together a random assortment of very recent comics and let you know how much they rock, or not so much---or whether you should bypass them altogether. Our regular showcase installment will be featured next week, so hold on to your comics!

BATMAN #684 continues Dennis O’Neil’s “Last Days of Gotham” story from DETECTIVE COMICS #851. First off, I want to take a moment to welcome newcomer artist Guillem March to the DC team. He’s done a few comics now for DC (JOKER’S ASYLUM: POISON IVY, DETECTIVE #851, BATMAN #684), and his work has absolutely blown me away. He’s drawn the best Poison Ivy I’ve ever seen, for one thing; his visual portrayals of these Batman characters are leaving me slack-jawed in awe. And this issue of BATMAN is no different. His Nightwing, his Gordon, his Alfred---jeez, even his Bollock---they’re all fantastic.
