|HOW TO ORDER
Getting started with our subscription service or making changes to an existing subscription is easy. Just log in to your subscription account and select the titles you'd like to receive. You'll also find catalogs of the upcoming releases to help you make your selections.
All comics and magazines reserved or you through the subscription system receive a discount of 30% off the retail price.
Non-comic items such as DVDs, trade paperbacks, graphic novels, action figures, etc. may be requested in advance of release through your subscription account as well. These items are available at our normal, already discounted, in-stock prices so no additional discounts apply. In most cases, trade paperbacks and graphic novels are priced at 30% off the list prices and other items are at some of the lowest prices around. By including them on your subscription list though you can reduce your shipping cost and ensure that the items will be available and reserved for you as soon as they arrive. If you're ever unsure of the price on a non-comic item you'd like to request just ask and we'll be happy to provide you with a price quote.
Your account will be charged for items reserved for you each week when new releases are processed. This billing typically occurs on Wednesday of each week for items arriving the following week. Billing is for the total amount currently due or $15.00, whichever is greater. If your total due is less than $15.00, any overpayment will carry forward to subsequent orders before another payment is due.
Orders you place yourself to ship with your subscriptions are payable at the time you place the order. If you have PayPal selected as the payment method for your reserve account, you'll receive an invoice through PayPal when a payment is due.
Keep in mind though that a payment must be received within three days of billing to keep your items on reserve. If you don't make a payment through PayPal in that time or your credit card is declined and you don't respond to our notices to correct the problem then your hold is released. That doesn't mean you won't receive your items as the hold will be restored when your payment is made but there is a risk that some items may sell out while your hold is off. For that reason, we recommend only using PayPal if you're online and available to respond to PayPal billings regularly. Having a valid credit card on file is a better option in most cases to avoid disappointment.
IMPORTANT: You MUST check the "Activate subscription service?" box to start your service. Information entered without having this box checked will not be processed by our system.
To add a new title simply select it from the drop-box for the appropriate publisher (select multiple titles at once by holding the CTRL key) and press the "continue" button. If you need to add a title that's not already listed you can enter it manually in the text box below the publisher lists.
Once a title is added you may need to make some changes to it. By default, all titles are assumed to start with the next issue to be released and continue until you request otherwise and you'll receive one copy of each new issue. If you need to specify a starting and/or ending issue number or need more than one copy you can change the defaults by clicking on the title in your subscription list and modifying it. This also allows you to enter "notes" if needed to specify things like a particular cover if more than one is available for a particular issue and the publisher is not limiting the availability of the version you request. Notes should not be used to specify different quantities of certain issue numbers though as the the "quantity" field for the title will override any notes that are added.
If you do need to request different quantities for certain issue numbers you can do so by making multiple entries for the same title by clicking on the "Add new entry for above title" link. This will list the same title again (as many times as needed) and you can modify each entry to reflect the appropriate number of copies. This means you can have one line show #1-9 and 1 copy, the next line shows #10-10 and 2 copies, and the third line shows #11 with no ending number and 1 copy. That would get you 1 copy of each issue in the series except for #10 which you'll receive 2 copies of. Just be sure to set your numbers correctly so you don't risk missing an issue through omission or get extra copies of an unwanted issue by accidentally overlapping starting or ending issue numbers.
Your first shipment of items that are being held for you will ship approximately 30 days following the first Wednesday after you sign up for this service (sooner if you select weekly or every two weeks shipping). Subsequent shipments will go out around the same time each month. You can also choose "On Request" as your shipping frequency to have orders held until you contact us to request a shipment. This option gives you total control so you can request a shipment when you reach a certain order size, when a certain item on your list is released, or at any other time that fits your needs.
We offer standard shipping along with a premium option for faster delivery so you can select the method that works best for you. Premium shipping averages 2-4 days for delivery as compared to 5-14 days (usually about a week) for standard shipments.
The shipping cost to US addresses (excluding Alaska & Hawaii) is $5.50 for standard shipping and $7.00 for premium shipping. Just ask for the cost to other locations.
Of course, if you're in the Tulsa area, you can always pick up any order with no shipping charge. Just let us know in advance that you'll be coming by and we'll have your order ready for you.
If you prefer to have more than one shipment each month just select a more frequent shipping option on your account profile. You can select up to weekly shipping but your shipping charge is per shipment so less frequent shipping can save you money. This way, you decide whether getting your books as soon as possible or saving even more is the most important.
Regardless of the address on file at the time a subscription order ships out, your subscriptions will ship to the address used for the latest order in that shipment. That means, you'll need to update your address before the final order in a shipment is generated if you move. If that's not possible, please notify us and we'll have to revise your address manually.
You're free to add and remove titles at any time from your subscription list so you have complete control over which issues you'll receive. Any changes you make though must be received no later than 6:00 PM CST on Tuesday of the WEEK BEFORE an item is due to be released. We begin pre-processing subscription orders in advance of release in order to guarantee availability and that locks in your current selections so changes affecting each week's new releases must be received by the deadline on the Tuesday one week before.
We can also only guarantee the availability of multiple copies of a single comic if it's added to your subscription list at least three weeks in advance of release. We'll do our best to fill multiple copy orders placed after that point and can usually do so but single copy customers and those who made their selections in advance will be filled first with the remainder being allocated if we run short due to the publisher selling out before release. Similarly, limited edition variants must also be requested at least three weeks prior to release to ensure availability since we cannot increase our orders on those items after the deadline set by the publisher.
If you decide to drop a title that you're no longer interested in you won't receive any further issues that haven't been published but you may receive earlier issues that were already received and reserved for you prior to the subscription change. Similarly, adding a new title will start with the next issue to be published (unless you specify a later issue number). If you need any recently published issues you can purchase them from our in-stock selection and choose to have them shipped with your subscriptions to save on shipping charges.
While you can make changes to upcoming items up until a week before they're released, no items may be canceled once an order is generated or once you order it yourself to put it on reserve. Reserving items prevents other customers from purchasing them and requires us to purchase more when possible so please only reserve items that you're certain that you want. Under special circumstances we may allow an item to be canceled but a 10% restocking charge will apply to cover the payment processing fees and the labor costs associated with pulling items and then returning them to inventory.
ORDERING IN-STOCK ITEMS
If you'd like to place an order for in-stock items and have those items ship with your next subscription order shipment, just select the "Add to Reserves" option as your shipping preference during checkout. Those items will then be added to your reserves and will count toward your shipping plateaus.
You can also select the payment option to charge orders you place yourself to your reserve account but you MUST have a valid card on file with funds available to use this option. If a payment cannot be processed then the order will be canceled and items will not be reserved for you.
If you have no current or upcoming items on your subscription list for your reserve account for a period of four or more weeks, the reserve account will automatically become inactive. You can still place new orders to be put on reserve for future shipping and those orders will be reserved and processed normally. If you wish to add new items to your subscription list though, you'll also need to check the "active" box at the top of your reserve account page to reactivate that portion of your service.
We take customer service very seriously and handle every order with care but problems can still happen. If you receive a shipment or book that you did not order or consider damaged or are missing an item, please contact us and tell us what's wrong. We cannot accept returns unless we have authorized them in advance.
Please remember that we guarantee that your comics will be in new condition. All pre-ordered comics will appear on your invoice as "NM" for inventory purposes but we cannot guarantee that they will be in "Mint" condition. Mass production can lead to tiny imperfections in even brand new books but we're careful to make sure you receive them in the best possible condition. This does not mean that a comic with torn covers or pages or missing pages is not considered a damaged comic though. Significant defects should be caught before your order is ever packaged but if an error is made we will replace that book or credit your account for its cost. Again, contact us when you get the damaged book and obtain authorization to return it.
When you have to return books, please send a note of explanation in the box with the comics so that we can take care of your problem promptly. Do NOT send payments with returned books. A separate department gets these packages and we may not receive your payment on time.
If an item is missing or needs to be replaced it will be included with your next shipment.
You're not obligated to continue your subscriptions for six months to a year or more as is often the case with other subscription providers. You can cancel your account at any time by simply unchecking the "Activate subscription service?" box on your account page. Keep in mind though that you will still be obligated to any items that have already been reserved for you but not shipped up until that point and any changes to your account made after Thursday will not affect comics that are released the following week (typically on Wednesday). If you do have any pending items remaining on your account after you cancel the service those items will ship according to your normal schedule as your final shipment.
